Surf Rider Skegness Bottons has collapsed

UPDATE INFO 31-08-2011
It was said that the whole carriage smashed into the decking when it came down as a result of an exploding cog that disintegrated due to the pressure.
2 boys who were on the ride earlier did say that the ride didn't feel quite right.
Another public  quotes:
" it could have been the teeth that sit in the motor as this was the type of sound it seemed to make"
"sounded like a plane crash"
“It took about four seconds for it to fall and it made a clunking sound before it fell down to the ground and made this huge bang"
“I think this little boy who looked about seven or eight was in the seat which hit the floor the most"
he was seen to be sobing and looked so terrified
A police spokesperson said: “The call came in at 3.15pm. an incident involving one of the rides -
believed to be the Surf Rider.
According to a friend of mine who has been near the scene "there is said that the whole ride carrying adults and children was stuck in vertical position

The Health and Safety Executive have been informed

I am shocked and surprised that they never been to examine Bottons rides until now.
For years of living here i have seen so many items failing including: the shocking chair! that takes our money! but only shocks one hand and then ends because it thinks we let go.I could say more but don't want to get in touble for slander (Speaking the truth)
The Rides are host to so many cobwebs with dust settled on them. It just shows me the dis-respect they give to Skegness.

Twenty-two people have been rescued from the ride and only suffered minor injuries as a result.
but it took 4 fire crews to work together using ropes and equipment to bring the arm down.

Additional information to compare with news above.
Four fire engines, eight ambulances and two helicopter air ambulances were called at 3.15pm and soon arrived on the scene to rescue those trapped and rush the injured to hospital.
Within 39 minutes fire crews from Skegness, Spilsby and Wainfleet had safely removed all of the trapped occupants from the ride.
“It was a heavy jolt from the 3.2 tonne carriage so it will have caused some potential neck and C spine injuries and a number of people have been taken to hospital
Eye witnesses earlier in the day said they saw maintenance being carried out on the ride shortly after 10am and what they believed to be a cooling fan was replaced.

A Comment from a local resident  retired Engineer who saw and talked about what happened said it seemed to look like the cogs were probably not greased  properly or problems with the bearings.

Where can i buy Tango Foam drink?

Turbo Tango is an all-new beverage offering packaged in a plastic aerosol bottle that delivers a foamy orange drink straight into your mouth. The unusual refreshment is targeted at teens, with a label that advises, "Hold upright and squirt into your mouth (and nowhere else)."
"Turbo Tango is going to be a huge hit with the target market," said chief executive officer Andrew Eyles. "It's what Tango is all about: being different and having irreverent fun." The plastic aerosol drink will debut across the U.K. all July and, if successful, will have an official release.
Its crazy but soon as i see it i want to get it so i can let you know what its like.
As soon as i know where to get this new drink i will add info here.

Ghost Looking out the shop across from Coffee Aroma in Lincoln Uk

Its been brought to my attention that there seems to be a face of a man looking out of this shop accross from Coffee Aroma in Lincoln town in England.
I have uploaded it to my blog so that people can get a really big zoom in on picture so the judgment can be made  to yourselves.
Lincoln is steep in ancient history and seems to have its own sense of gloom and strange goings on's.
Coffee Aroma is the finest coffee shop in Lincoln with the most fresh coffees roasted to meet high standards.
Their collection of special bottles of beers and an Absinthe Fountain make it stand out from the rest.
Warning to you now! you may have to wait a while to be served! But no customer complains when they get their drink as they know its well worth the wait.

Over a Century Old Dish that smells like a thousand Cups of Teas and a thousand Cakes

IF YOU HAVE COME TO THIS BLOG TO SEE THE INBETWEENERS FULL DANCE!  THEN PLEASE SCROLL DOWN A FEW STORIES AND YOU WILL FIND IT

I was just trolling around the small town of Skegness, looking around some charity shops looking for really fascinating items to research.
I love finding the mysteries behind the stories of times gone by,
So back to my story.
I  saw this large raised plate!on the shelf and was drawn towards it like a magical force was aiding me,
I had a strange overwhelming sensation.
My minds imagination went wild as i felt all the cakes that have rested on this plate.
I could smell a thousand fruit cakes and happy moments.
I asked the lady in the shop if she could smell the cakes.
She looked at me as if i were a loony and said no.
Anyway a few moments later i met up with my Mum and Dad for a Coffee
and asked them if they could smell lots of cakes from the dish.
They both said no!looking at me strange!
Is it just me! or is this plate Haunted or something.
I had a real strong feeling that this plate is mind boggerlingly old and felt i had to buy it.
Here is the plate/dish i got:
The Gem C. C & co / Cockson & Chetwyn markings
The Gem C. C & co / Cockson & Chetwyn
In 1866 the making of china was discontinued and the manufacture of white graniteware for the American trade was substituted. The mark is the royal arms and the name IMPERIAL IRONSTONE CHINS, COCKSON & CHETWYND or COCKSON & SEDDON or BIRKS BROTHERS & SEDDON, who continued to 1888.
Charles Thomas Cockson

Regency Ironstone mark
Regency Ironstone ware
Strange as this may be,  my Neighbor has this pottery (Pictured above) that he asked me to research for him only yesterday.  And after reading that information about the companies changing to Regency Iron Stone i thought to myself i am sure i seen that mark somewhere not long ago! and then i rememeber that it was on these items here.   What a small world this is when My item and my friends item becomes part of the story around this Cockson & Chetwyn pottery also known as  C. C & co for the oldest works and Regency Iron Stone being what they are nown today.
Please follow my blog and keep an eye on my finds and my research.

Extended History Bellow

COCKSON, Charles Thomas (1838-1900), pottery manufacturer, Cobridge.
Charles Thomas Cockson was born May 31, 1838 in Alrewas, Yoxall, Staffordshire, U.K.
In the 1851 census  Charles Thomas Cockson, 13 years of age was listed as a china painter as occupation.  His father William was listed as a potter.
Charles Thomas Cockson worked as a china painter in Cobridge and Liverpool before emigrating to the U.S.A in 1870 with his wife and two oldest children. He worked the Globe Pottery in Cobridge along with his father.
He was given title to a homestead in Polk County, Nebraska in 1880. While enroute to visit family, he caught pneumonia and died in London on June 5, 1900 where he lies in St. Pancras cemetery.
He and Lucy had one daughter and four sons. In 1865 his first child was born in Liverpool, England.

Watercolor painting done by Charles Cockson done on school type ruled tablet paper.
What can't be seen in the small picture is the exquisite detail of the china painter's hand on things like the tail feathers on the ducks and the swan in the lower right hand corner.

Look what treasure i stumbled on Today

Magpie figurine with Ring
Yesterday i was talking to my mother about birds and especially about magpies and their love for all shinny Objects.
And Today while i was in the Town area in Skegness i walked into a Charity shop just to only look.
And before me was This magpie with a shinny object in its mouth!
I was amazed as i only just been thinking about that so i figured that i must be destined to buy this so i did.
And right next to him was 2 Chinese Mudmen.
So i felt Destiny made me see them so i felt i had to get them to add to my collection so i did.
I really don't want to spend any more money.
But its easy to spend money i shouldn't spend when i see things that i like.
