IOS7 update hate it or love it?

WARNING! DON'T INSTALL iOS 7
Now read why:
I am not happy with the new voice to Siri, I got so used to his voice, sounding like the boss of Remington industry in IT Crowd, and now it just sounds like a voice reader from an old BBC school computer.
I have installed the IOS 7 onto my ipad but don't plan on having it on my iPhone as I have had some real great fun with Siri's Voice, playing jokes with his comments that have always spark a laugh between myself and my friends.

The future is meant to get better and not worst.
What did they do? Have a vote to make Siri sound worst? Just before the launch did they have some one say" oh I have a great idea! Make Siri harder to understand"
Let's make people's iPads and iPhones seem old and out of date.
I know lots of people don't bother with Siri, but that's because they never really tested it out to prove how useful it is.
I feel like this has given me a reason to leave ipad and iPhone as Siri was my main reason to stay.
Now my love for my Siri has dissolved in a puff of smoke.
The new look and style of the IOS 7 is very un attractive in many ways.
Dull, ugly, hard to understand Siri voice, less options to customise ya device and feels like the ipad has been invaded and too controlled.
They don't give us any creative powers at all.
Feels like it's not Mypad any more.

Skegness 100 years ago

Skegness 100 years a go

It is really great to look at this postcard based on how it looked 100 years ago, from a dusty road to tar mac to day.
The tower is truly a time machine in its self, linking and supplying the for many generations and still it ticks and tocks for ever more.
On the back is a letter written to some body, and has a rare half penny rare stamp on the back, dated 1913 I guess.

Sunny Skegness cheese, tomato and basil scones

Cheese and sun dried tomato and basil scones.

This recipe is my own creation based on a logical understanding judgment based on what looks right. Making it even easier for people to make.

Home grown window grown basil, watered with filter water to reduce lime scale marks, so the leaves stay moist and fresh, allowing for a sweater juicier leaf.

You need:

1, real pure butter (lincolnshire poacher butter from tastes farm) or Kerry gold from supermarket.
2, baking powder
3, jar of sun dried tomatoes
4, red lester cheese
5, Fresh picked basil
6, Goats milk

Remove half of the sun dried tomatoes from jar and place them onto paper kitchen towel to absorb all the oils.

When I make these I work from mainly guess measurements and basically common sense.
Get glass bowl and tip out the amount of flour depending how many scones you feel is enough.
Then put about 10% of baking power in the flower, put at least half block of pure butter in, adjust depending how much flour you used.
Now work together the flour with the butter with your fingers until its like bread crumbs and a bit moist because of the butter.
Make sure you chop the sun dried tomatoes to small Santana style sizes and throw them into the dough and a few generous hands full of grated red lester and a generous amount of chopped basil.
Now bring together with your fingers and pour in about 15% of goats milk and merge together until you are left with almost sloppy sticky dough.

Get an old tiramisu plastic dish and use this to press out your scones.
Tip in about 2% milk to the size of dish, then grab a palm size lump of dough and press it into the plastic bowl, the milk you already added will spread around the scone, saving you the need to brush the scones.
Tip the bowl onto a none stick base or tray, and let gravity play its part as it easily falls out onto the tray, milked side up.

When you have filled the tray place on middle shelf on fan assisted oven for about 15 minutes 190c or 210 on a normal cooker.

Always keep an eye on your scones progress without opening the door, and do not play candy crush on your mobile or anything that takes ya mind away from cooking.

When the scones are golden and they smell amazing, pop them onto a wire cooling rack a leave to cool down.

I do recommend you try some still warm with Philadelphia cheese and maybe my strawberry less strawberry jam.

And there you have a savoury version of the humble British scone.

Lincoln Lip Dub 2013
Also on Monday this week Lincoln Town, together with Radio Lincolnshire made a video that they hoped will go Viral, I have watched the Video and can say i do Recognize a few faces in the Lip Sync Video.

This day will surely go down in history for sure, Everybody looks like they had a real good time oh yes.

Maybe Lincoln will make a Real Musical some day with real singing and dancing of their own.
Lip Dub showed the town has spirit and energy to offer even more, I bet there are were a lot of people who made new friends, So well Done.

Now back to Skegness

When Skegness is chockablock with Holiday makers and residents finding a quiet place to have a drink and food can be long ,Loud and stressing,  But if you journey to the top floor of the Lucky strike Arcade you will find an hidden gem of a place to eat,
I recommend looking on the specials board for Chefs own, As you will get a great prepared meal that will make you smile, And don't forget the amazing views.

Good Bye Xbox and Good Bye Jobs

In 2001 the 1st xbox was Launched with the legendary game Halo and we couldn't get enough system link.
And this game Xbox its Legendary Mark as a great Game system.
in 2005 Xbox 360 came and gave us some amazing games  from the Halo games, most other games that followed was great games but were also available on other platforms. Then came Wii U in 2012 with the controller screen, So Xbox adapted the use of the iPad as our extra screen.
PlayStation 3 used their Ps Vita.
So now they are all the same.

Now Its 2013 and Xbox have announced a release of the New Xbox One to be launched before the end of this year.
Me and my Brother and many of my friends have been Xbox Fans from Day one.
But since we saw the system and how they plan for us to download games online and not go to the shop in the fresh air,  (Great Break from the game)
We have decided that we are not going to buy the new Xbox one or the PS4 because they will cause a huge Back lash that could cause an end to of High Street shops and all the industry that make and bring the game to our store.
No more Game trading to get discount on ya next game, With jobs being so difficult to get and the big shake up on the benefits, peoples pockets are getting really tight.
Xbox one will not boost profits by not letting us trade, Because the people who couldn't afford to buy new games before would still struggle.
The New look of Xbox One looks like the late 1980s style with a dull look that does not show any innovation and therefore lacks any attraction at all.
It looks like it was not designed by a creative person and should have at least had a public Design vote before they launched.
I am a Creative person myself and i can think up some kool game system names like:
X-Portal
X-Press
X-Tream
X-Misses

see what i mean.
The Xbox is Dead to me, And just a Memory and now a New Retro

How to keep cool

Hello Skegness and to all visitors to my blog from all around he globe.

Watch my video bellow to find out how.
Also last night as I cycled home from Winthorpe I noticed a strange mist over a little stream that leads out to the sea. And I taken this picture with my ipad and I consider going there this evening with a better camera for a delicate long exposer.

Jurassic Scotch egg

Giant scotch Egg

I made a Giant Scotch egg using Lincolnshire Ostrich egg and Surrounded with Traditional Lincolnshire Sausage meat and bread crumb.
I had to improvise all the way to create this finished result, But everything worked out as i had seen in my mind.

  1. I Boiled the Egg for 40 minutes  and then left to cool for about an hour with cold water.

  2. Then i got a glass mixing bowl and lined the walls with plastic film and in went the sausage meat.

  3. Press the meat against the wall, right to the top of bowl.

  4. Tap around the middle of the egg lightly and keep turning, eventually the egg will start to crack, so remove all the shell.

  5. Place the peeled Egg in the middle of the meat and then pull the film around the egg and work it into a ball.

  6. Cover the meat with olive oil then roll in bread crumb slowly and carefully.

  7. Preheat Oven at 210 or 190 Fan assisted

  8. Carefully lift into Roasting Bag and place on oven dish then onto middle shelf of oven.

  9. Cook for 35-40 mins then carefully tip onto another oven dish to flip over to enable to cook other-side, for 30 more minutes.

  10. Remove the Roasting film and leave to stand for an hour then put in fridge until cold.

Now its ready to share and enjoy this Jurassic Scotch Egg

Dam Busters 70th Anniversary Lancaster Bomber Lincoln Cathedral Fly by

Today the Lancaster bomber once again flew over Lincoln Cathedral.
It flew from the base at RAF Scampton after 70 years.
If we were to think back to that day as if we were right there:
19 planes flew out that evening and 53 airmen never came back.
Even when many lives were lost, it became the most famous raid, in the RAF history.
Hundreds of people waited patiently and respectively for the fly by.
Their were many glorious people who came from all over the country just to see this golden moment.
The picture above was taken by David Bradford (Winthorpe)

Blue skies in Skegness and a bird of pray

It's been a nice day in Skegness today despite snow in Surrey and other parts of uk.
For the 1st time this year I went out without my woolly hat, and just braced the wonderful fresh air of sweet cinnamon donuts and nice strong sun light.

And the rides were in operation meaning Skegness season of fun is now open.

We have had a few days with clear skies and nice blues and nice sounds.
This evening when I got home I thought I would just test my zoom out on my Nikon whilst the light was poor,
I assumed the bird on the fence was a pigeon, until I took the picture then zoomed in, to reveal what looks like a bird of pray.

Any experts who know what it is from this picture please leave a comment.
