The Crows Return To Skegness To Take Back Dominance Over the Seagulls

 Every year there is a Territory Battle between Seagulls and Crows.

The location of the shopping complex that now stands 4 stores, ALDI ,M&S, Jollyes (Pet shop) and B&M.

It used to be Lillywhites Football field and also used for car boot and Scooter gatherings every year.

Recently Talked to a Local Neighbor regarding the lack of Crows this year, and the fact that the seagulls were dominating ones.

So I proceeded to goto the shop, and I spoken too soon, It was crazy timing, Because in the south direction i thought I was seeing lots of starlings filling the sky.

I suddenly was gobsmacked to see they were a huge number of Crows,

They were heading towards their old trees where they had been about 2 years ago.

I then went into ALDI and got what i needed then as I was heading home, literally only 2 minutes away i noticed a huge rise in moaning seagulls heading towards the coast with an imaginary tail between their legs.

What a Drama, The Crows have been gone for a while, but suddenly they return with overwhelming forces.

Seems the Crows tactic as paid off for them.

The seagulls will still reside on the beach.

Every morning the seagulls all stand spaced out facing the early morning sunlight, It is almost like the scene from the movie city of angels.

Only a few weeks ago i noticed the seagulls talking in Crow dialect, Must have been used as an intimidating gesture, Or the seagulls are telling their young that the Crows are their sworn enemy.

For over 10 years i have observed the Crow and Seagulls battle high in the sky,

It’s a spectacle of a show, and the drama that goes on above our heads if we care to look.

The Best Donuts in Skegness

This Donut Hut in Skegness makes the perfect Donuts, Based on size per donut and sets a quality standard that must be made up of years of experience.
She should receive an award for the love and passion that goes into making them.
Sometimes she might even slip in an extra Donut as a nice gesture.
Also for £1x4 Donuts and upgrade to cinnamon Sugar for only 50p more.
She also sells butterscotch and chocolate Dips to dunk your donuts in,

I have tried different donuts from a few vendors around Skegness.
I won’t name them, I will just rate them by price, Quality and Value.

£2.50 4x Donuts these ones are like 4 thin hoops like onion rings. Quality low, No love, not passionate at all and not worthy of sharing
Another vendor £2.00 4x donuts that turn out to be mini donuts with no hole to see through hole, and are not worthy of sharing

The Only Poem He ever wrote

 David Bradford wrote this poem close to the end of his time in this life.

When first read it, When he was alive, I read it in the wrong frame of mind.

And now he isn’t here, His poem sounds like him.

It is only now I understand his poem.

My Dad was Dyslexic so writing this poem taken more effort than normal.

I Thank everyone who was his Friend, brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces, great grandchildren, sons and Daughters.

And to everyone who attended, let’s keep a memory of him in our hearts

Poem Written in April 2021 By David Bradford

Time goes on

Yet all things must die.

The stream will cease to flow;

The wind will cease to blow;

The clouds will cease to fleet;

The heart will cease to beat;

For all things must die.

All things must die.

Spring will come never more.

O, vanity!

Death waits at the door.

See! our friends are all forsakingYet all things must die.

The stream will cease to flow;

The wind will cease to blow;

The clouds will cease to fleet;

The heart will cease to beat;

For all things must die.

All things must die.

Spring will come never more.

O, vanity!

Death waits at the door.

See! our friends are all forsaking

The wine and the merrymaking.

We are call’d–we must go.

Laid low, very low,

The wine and the merrymaking.

We are call’d–we must go.

Laid low, very low,

This world does not belong to anyone

Yet Another Ice Cream Disaster

Just kidding It wasn't an Icecream disaster for these folk that flocked in from Leicester, Loughborough and other places.
With reverse Psychology in their local tabloids saying "stay away from Skegness until may warning accompanied with a colourful picture of people enjoying the beach"
Is this really a way of advertising for free by making it sound like news.
Also with the news warning of heavy snow to follow, I guess it's normal to expect people to quickly make the most of the sun while they can.

In 2020 this beach was empty on easter and bank holiday.
You can see my drone flights on YouTube for them days.

This was a chance for some businesses to atleast open some other things for people to do.
With No Arcades open.
The crazy Golf and Go Carting was lively with happy face.

You can see how the warning to stay away actually makes people want to go even more and even encourage others to go after seeing this picture.

Skegness Miniature Village is No More

It's Official the Model Village in Skegness is being completely demolished,

An Historic attraction is being completel
y removed to make way for a Jurassic Dinosaurs  theme.

I would have thought people would of liked to make peace with their memories that go on to about  61 years or so.
 Even on the trustpilot and all the internet still show that the village is still there and nothing saying its going to be removed.

People could be planning to revisit their child hood memory only to have their hearts.
There is 2 epic trees on the site.
They are 2 huge major pine trees with micro pine cones on them, each branch is like a giant tree of it's own.
It would be great to have them dated too.
I think these trees should be an attraction of their own.

I am not sure if a Jurassic Dinosaurs attraction will be big enough for this small area.

What is your opinion on this new development.

Do you have any photos to share of memories there?

It's sad that they didn't let people know that they were going to change it.

The owner of Tower arcade now owns the aquarium and the minture village plot.

There is a Black hole opening up In Skegness

This morning I went to get my Astra Vaccine so I was near sea front.
I noticed a hole in the ground and it looks like there is lots of space inside too.
Looks easy for someone to have an accident.
This is between two roads and more likely public right of way.
Its obviously going to get bigger over time.
Seems with sand so low on beach, maybe its causing sand under land to start to erode.
Hopefully everything will be alright.
It's not just pot holes in roads that are a problem the many footpaths also are causing accidents.
