Every year there is a Territory Battle between Seagulls and Crows.
The location of the shopping complex that now stands 4 stores, ALDI ,M&S, Jollyes (Pet shop) and B&M.
It used to be Lillywhites Football field and also used for car boot and Scooter gatherings every year.
Recently Talked to a Local Neighbor regarding the lack of Crows this year, and the fact that the seagulls were dominating ones.
So I proceeded to goto the shop, and I spoken too soon, It was crazy timing, Because in the south direction i thought I was seeing lots of starlings filling the sky.
I suddenly was gobsmacked to see they were a huge number of Crows,
They were heading towards their old trees where they had been about 2 years ago.
I then went into ALDI and got what i needed then as I was heading home, literally only 2 minutes away i noticed a huge rise in moaning seagulls heading towards the coast with an imaginary tail between their legs.
What a Drama, The Crows have been gone for a while, but suddenly they return with overwhelming forces.
Seems the Crows tactic as paid off for them.
The seagulls will still reside on the beach.
Every morning the seagulls all stand spaced out facing the early morning sunlight, It is almost like the scene from the movie city of angels.
Only a few weeks ago i noticed the seagulls talking in Crow dialect, Must have been used as an intimidating gesture, Or the seagulls are telling their young that the Crows are their sworn enemy.
For over 10 years i have observed the Crow and Seagulls battle high in the sky,
It’s a spectacle of a show, and the drama that goes on above our heads if we care to look.
