Last Minute Shopping for Real

The Brayford water front is well and truly iced up apart from a few flowing river sections it looks strange watching the swans walking over the ice from one river to another when they could fly if they wanted too.
Maybe readings of -9 approx is the reason or maybe they have prepared or waxed their feathers to help cope with the cold to such a level that abandons there wings useless during winter! maybe that is why they chose to walk.
After only a few moments i could not bare the cold any more!  it was after all Christmas Eve and all the shops were closed! replacing the window displays with sale signs and stock taking in motion!
I had to force myself to go in Costa for a coffee!  i asked for the biggest mug they had!
It has 2 handles on it!  i really wanted a mug with finger holes in for my hands.
But nobody has invented a mug like that yet!
I was taking my time with this coffee while i waited for my brother to arrive from Nottingham and when he got to Lincoln we went to a Tesco express! as it was the only shop open.
We only had a few hours before Christmas day and yet Glen had nothing to offer! we had a right laugh about it with one of the staff! Mocking Glen about the fact that this is truly last minute shopping.
Glen chosen Baileys, whiskey and boxes of Chocolates (Tesco Brand) lol
I couldn't Blog while i was at my sisters! so i will add more of what happened on here very soon!

England Shakes up the District

Its True! Last night the Lake District woken up with a   3.6 magnitude 20-second tremors at 10.59pm.
Large parts of the Lake District and north-west England were shaken by the
The epicentre was in Coniston, Cumbria, but the effects were felt as far away as Lancaster, Blackpool, and the Isle of Man.
Also i noticed something strange just after that report!  If you look at my weather station readings bellow you will see 2 pictures of the readings i showed a few days ago! and after the the quake!

What i find strange! is that there is no reading at all! As before there was a hot spot of 36 and that was  surrounded by an average of -20.   I can't promise that this is related!  Just amazing timing that's all!
I look at the world readings every day! and when i was talking to my brother this morning on the phone!  I was looking at the readings as i normally do! and i said to Glen that the island i saw before has lost its reading completely!  Then i said there may have been an earth quake!  and Glen said there was one last night!  he has been at work all night and must of heard it on the radio news!
I am sure that i am the only person to possibly linking these two events!
Keep tuned to my blog as i will bring you more as i get it.
Shivers
Also what i find funny but not funny at the same time! is Russia has 80,000 snow plows working on the roads and still they are struggling as they are baring witness to the reality of the chill levels!  But England only has but a hand full of snow plows!  I bet our government is so hoping we get through this as soon and as cheaply as possible!  As they know we have a long a lot more to come.

Crystallized Skegness

People here are commenting on this being a moment of beauty  even with the massive levels of slips and falls in the county.  All tree's are showing sign of ice crystallization! Formed by air being frozen!  just like when you take out a ice lolly from the freezer!  But here its obviously a lot more intense!
My self and my friends have never seen such events like this!
As i already said! thermal and knitted Gloves have no effect with this type of cold so i have had to look back at traditional ways of keeping warm!  So i decided to check our local Woolen Mill as seen below.

I asked the polite member of staff if she has any leather or Sheepskin Mitts to help protect the public through this hard time!  She said they have not been able to get delivery of this years order!  Other towns have had them in stock! But in Skegness they don't have any! They obviously didn't see this weather coming! Real mitts will be of great value on the build up to colder winters!   My friends mother suggested that i get a Sheep skin rug and cut out some mitts and sew our own! (Now this is innovation for survival at its best)
Southern England is very well bombarded with snow!
But here its too cold for it to even snow!   Right now as i write this blog!  its -4.3 and getting colder!

The reason we are getting this bad weather is because of the Jet stream flow from the north west just like the Picture bellow:
This could mean we could still be expecting disruptions for weeks to come!  and this could get a lot worse as we build up to 2012.  So brace your self! prepare and get ready to live out colder times with possible moments without electric!   More on this subject soon!

Frozen Britain from Skegness

Frozen Britain is what they are calling it!
Temps have reached as low as -18 at Blackpool and often Skegness has hit -9.7 at times.
Even Thermal and woolen gloves are not standing any chance of keeping the cold from the hands.
I guess a good pair of Leather Mitts made by Eskimos is what the country need!
The spiders Cobwebs are thick with frost and the trees look like they are covered in white frosty blossom.
I also notice Iceland is warmer than England for once!
I been taking note of other locations! and have been noticing a strange event for the past week.
As you can see!  here there is a island with the temp of 36.0 but strangely its surrounded by an average of -20
so what i wonder is this? why is there a constant warm spot detected in this location?
Maybe this is partly responsible for our strange weathers here in England!
Southern England is stranded in Deep snow! while north/east and west! get frozen to the bare core!
Whats worst? Lots of snow or Black ice with trees of icicle spikes waiting to fall!

We have never needed to prepare for weather like this ever before!
Its not like usual!  Its a pure Freezer set on Deep Freeze!
and right now while i write this blog i reveal the temperatures below:
If you want to keep an live eye on the real time weather station reading visit SAT24
And if you would like to see a Live African Cam with sounds of the wild plains!  Then click here!
Its nice to watch a live hot country when we are cold!  Creating mental Heat!

Dont make the Road Angry

As you can see this road has a Grudge! I was walking back home from the Ship pub in skegness when i noticed this angry face looking up at us! My friend Lance demonstrates an angry face!
Click on image for a close up view!
Skegness has a lot of holes and cracks in its ground and lots of people walking about with crutches and suffering! Dean from Skegness ended up with a bad sprain that as resulted in the need of crutches 3 years on! his foot wont move and it baffles the Doctors to the reason his foot is like it is! even after MRI's and X-rays! he still lives in the hope for a cure some day!

Tree of the Black Death

In Skegness on Burgh Road near Lilly-whites football field there is a Maple tree that seems to be showing signs of early Death, with brittle branches snapping and falling! so far the tree has been catching its own branches by sheer luck! But its a matter of time before this tree may cause an accident to the public.
Not only does this tree need taking away! Its strange Black Death running around its body needs study to see if any other trees have taken on this parasite! It may take longer for the disease to to show effect on larger trees!
This tree does not look very old and i am sure this is not normal.
So please watch out as there maybe more of this parasite about and more trees putting people at risk! I will never forget the torment of knowing a person who died from a falling tree in the 80s! and if my news helps you protect your young ones from such a fate then its definitely worth while.
If you see this on other trees or have seen another tree or threat to nature then please let me know!

Greenfly Madness and Ladybird Sadness

Greenfly madness along the east coast of England as their most common feast-er seems to have eluded us.

Where is the legendary bird
we call our lady! We invite thee to an all you can eat feast of walking sap guzzling fruit with wings. There are many shades of Greenfly because as it seems to be is the orangey to red they go the more mature they are. So when we see them landing on our arms and not being their native green colour! We know that there is something wrong. People are even seeing black ones.
We also are being overwhelmed by thunder bugs by the thousands.
As we normally expect the ladybirds to save the day! But to some strange reason they seem to not be making up the numbers. I did hear last year about a Ladybird from overseas that could be a threat to our ladybirds. These ladybirds are known to be cannibals and eat our traditional ladybirds.
And if they did that, then maybe that might be the reason for this unexpected result.
If ladybirds are not here to sort out this infestation then maybe the flies will be great food supplies for spiders resulting in even more strange results.
Visit the following headline for more on this threat:

Metro News paper 27/10/2009 Cannibal ladybirds are invading British homes

Now we maybe feeling the devastating blow and proof that things are not going to be the way we have ever known before. I am sorry to say! that i saw a possible cannibal Ladybird on the bus a few days ago! but did not think about it until now.

i will try keep you updated with what happens so bookmark this blog.

Attack of the Beetles

On Sunday i was swarmed by 100s of these little flying beetles! Their only aim is to land where it is cool! and as we all know! on a hot sunny day the sand gets to hot! so they find us people as the only nearest landing point! Its not nice! i could not eat my sandwiches because they were very invading! I am yet to see if insect repellent works on these little buggers!
I will keep you posted on the results. or if i have any brain wave ideas to share that could help resolve this issue! because these are the only thing stopping a perfect day on the beach.
So please be warned and take heed of my words! Don't forget to prepare so you can relax without a care!

I Hate Movies in 3D

I don't know about you! But i hate 3D Movies! The reason is because it seems to make the movie seem dim lit and after a few minutes into a movie when you get used to it! Its not amazing any more. I went to see Avatar at the cinema with 3D Glasses on! It was nice at 1st! But then i was fed up of it being dim!
stop messing up the experience.
If ya want to improve the experience maybe let people feel the movie in their seats.
Our whole living life is in 3D. So why do we have to fake it on a movie! Its not needed.
Maybe there are a lot more people who agree with me! and maybe this is putting them off sometimes.

The sun cooks us alive in England

Its been very hot already this year in Skegness and most of UK.
But already i noticed so many people Red Raw with sun burn damage!
And Loyd's chemist and many shops have not loaded up their shelves with sun block supplies as of yet. When i asked Loyd's they say they have some sun block! But its not ready for going on shelves yet.
Us English pale skins need encouraging to use sun block any way possible! If in doubt! Sun block should be given to people at risk! Even NHS funded sun block would cut medical costs in the long run because i am sure treating a person with serve-er sun burn can be costly.
In fact i myself am disabled and 2 years ago the sun burned me so very bad! Giving me 2 weeks of constant never ending pain and giant liquid filled bubbles on my arm.
It took many visits from nurse to treat my wounds at my flat. The bandages and creams being changed every day! must have cost the NHS system a lot to get me fixed!

So that's why i make an appeal to the government! to take its peoples skin as a priority as we become hotter every year! The strain on the NHS will be bursting if something isnt done soon.

An idea would be Instant sun cream dispenser points! at least for faces and arms.
Sun block should not be a luxury! Its a life saver.
We should prevent our own fire on our selves as we would prevent a fire at home!
At home we have smoke alarms! they are not costly at all!
So what do we have to protect us outside where the sun cooks us alive!
Nothing but high priced creams.

So heed my information and lets help us help others.

Flesh eating Parasite 2010

It was brought to attention this week that a man in Skegness was faced with worst life threatening moment! when a flesh easting parasite munched through his left arm. Surgeons where really on a ticking clock to prevent the parasite from reaching vital organs. It was only when they placed knife in his arm to cut that the parasite blisters where seen to chace the knife. This would seem like a living nightmares to both this man and the Doctors.

Now few Days later and what has happened to prevent this happening again. Maybe the lifeforms that breakdown the compost may have mutated into a rare flesh eating breed.

How come we never got told about creatures like this! I live in Skegness! Being eaten alive like that would be the most painful way to die.

I recommend good insect replant when ya come on holidays here this year!

Fireball falls and lands Near Skegness

A FIREBALL was seen in broad daylight by a woman from Candlesby
Emma Langrick told the Standard: "On December 19, at 12.45pm"
"I witnessed a fireball shoot through the sky."

"I was on the A158 travelling from Partney roundabout to my house in Candlesby. (seven miles from Skegness), when a huge silver ball of light hurtled through the sky, with a long silver trail, before eventually fizzling out before it hit the ground."

She said she was so surprised by the sighting she contacted David Entwistle, director of the Society for Popular Astronomy.

He said eight people, some from Norfolk and Wisbech, had reported seeing what he confirmed was indeed a huge fireball. He said it was rare for them to be seen during the day, which made it more special.

A review from Myself the blogger about the above story!
Its a cold January 2010 right now! i wouldn't mind a Fireball landing outside my window!

It would save me a packet on heating bills!
She should think herself lucky for getting to see somthing like that in her life!
I hope she closed her eyes and made a Christmas wish!
