Help Legalise Segways in UK

Hello my friends and readers i have a point to make to you about Segways.
In UK it is against the law to ride a Segway on the pavement and also on the road.
An act that was written in 1835 makes the Segway illegal on uk pavements.
And because a Segway has no pedals the segway can not be used on the road.
So its simply a bat and ball game meeting an out of date law.
While Holiday Locations and places all over the world make efficient use of Segways for work and dealing with  matters where they would normally require a car!
But the Segway gives people the freedom to move around  congested towns!

These take up less space on a pavement than a motorized kart.
They are controlled whilst  standing up! So this is a far better way to induce pyhisical movement than to be always be seated.(Standing format of travel is just confused by the law)
But to real people its an item that may even create jobs in the uks towns.

I would like any people in the uk to  simply sign an online petition so we can make Segways Legal so we may even save our humble trip to our town shops!
Seeing segways in the cities would boost towns image for green alternative ways to leave cars at home.
Click on image below to get directed to campaign to simply fill in a quick  petition.

Here a little video example how how these are smart in creating interesting works for tourist.
